Through the camera lens, Holly Holzer Bass aims to find beauty in unexpected places and to show the familiar in a new way. A fine art and abstract photographer, she has lived and traveled all over the world and currently resides in Turkey. She has held solo exhibitions in Kathmandu, and Tbilisi, with an up-coming exhibition in Ankara, and participated in group shows in Chicago. Her work is held in private collections around the world.
Self-taught, she looks to photographers like American photographer/artists Lorna Simpson and Irving Penn, Georgian Photographer Gia Chkhatarashvili, Iranian artist Shirin Nesat, Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky, and numerous street artists as her "teachers".
